About Christina Glenn
Dr. Glenn is a fellowship-trained thoracic surgeon with board certifications in general surgery and thoracic surgery. She completed her undergraduate training at Bowling Green State University and graduated with Honors in Biology where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society for her undergraduate work. She continued on to medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine where she distinguished herself through the highest academic performance and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society.
Dr. Glenn completed general surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital where she was active in basic science and clinical research which resulted in her garnering several awards for her work and presentations of her projects. She proceeded to The University of Louisville where she completed fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery with special focus on minimally invasive surgical approaches, heart and lung transplant, and surgical critical care.
During her final year at the University of Louisville, she was awarded the House Staff of the Year award for outstanding service, commitment to education, and collegiality among residents and fellows at the University. Recently Dr. Glenn worked to grow the thoracic surgery program at MetroHealth University of Michigan Health into a robust and relevant program with the highest quality and superior clinical outcomes. She serves as a resident educator and clinical faculty for the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic medicine.
